reason for please
when my 3 year old starts with a pleeease.... I usually know that a follow on potential discussion/argument/scene is likely to start! so i love hearing her say please.. but need all my powers of patience when the please gets more insistent!!

The first please
I always liked the word please. From very early on as a child, I remember my best friend's mother used to tell me... there is no better word than a little please.
Now I am a mama I hear this "little" word more than I hear anything else. It still makes me smile. In every way which my youngest daughter says it, pleading, being polite, being slightly cross...I have to laugh. "PPLLLEEAASE.... can I have another biscuit".... "PPLLLEEAASE can Amber come to play"
Us mamas.... what pleases us?
